When a roofing contractor’s price is far below others, then there is something wrong (RED FLAG!) These types of companies are often not insured, licensed or bonded. Step #3 – During your roof estimate request a detailed written proposal so that you fully understand the product specifications, payment procedures, and materials that will be used. Also, see if the roofing company offers a labor warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. If a contractor is asking for more than 10% down payment, that is a RED flag!
